BUSINESS EDUCATION
GOALS OF THE PROGRAM
The objectives of the Entrepreneurship Education Program is to promote the development of entrepreneurship in the municipalities of Dolenjska, to provide access to knowledge and to deliver novelties in areas that are particularly important for the operation of micro and small enterprises and potential entrepreneurs.
SOFINANCING
All programs of educating entrepreneurs are carried out in co-financing and cooperation with the municipalities of Dolenjska and Bela Krajina.
BUSINESS EDUCATION
In the framework of education of entrepreneurs, we are preparing a call for co-financing of professional and computer courses, seminars with current topics in the field of entrepreneurship, summer school of entrepreneurship, different courses and events in programs conducted in cooperation with schools at faculties.
With the Education of Entrepreneurs program we provide access to knowledge and provide news in areas that are important for the business of micro and small enterprises, start-up entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs.
EDUCATION FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
TARGET GROUP
Youth education is intended for pupils, students, potential entrepreneurs, beginner entrepreneurs, startup companies and other youth groups in the region of South-East Slovenia.
PURPOSE
The primary purpose of education for young people is to raise entrepreneurial awareness and stimulate an entrepreneurial mindset, job creation.
EDUCATION FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
Alone and in cooperation with other institutions we organize and carry out various events and programs for youth education, since they are becoming an increasingly important generator of innovation, development and new employment.
PROGRAMS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF ENTERPRISES
STARTUP WEEKEND
Startup Weekend Novo mesto is an intensive business-entertaining weekend, where teams composed of individuals with different knowledge compete, who (in a very short time) will create a better prototype or business model of the company according to different methodologies (“d.school”, “lean Startup etc.) and also checked it on the market.
At the beginning of the event, participants with entrepreneurial ideas present them publicly and try to attract other participants to build co-operation teams over the weekend. This is followed by a motivational lecture of a successful entrepreneur, who is known primarily in the local area. The teams then have 36 hours to prepare an interesting prototype from the basic idea, which they present on Saturday evening at the closing event before the commission.
SUMMER SCHOOL OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP
The Summer School of Entrepreneurship is intended for all young people (ages 12 to 18) who want to learn the basics of entrepreneurship, team work, promote their creativity and try to test themselves before the commission. 4 day workshops involve a lot of field work, where young people are in contact with consumers and entertaining business challenges. Young people also develop their business ideas, test them, make prototypes and finally present them to the corporate commission. At workshops, young people are provided with mentoring help and entrepreneurial experience. The program is conducted during school summer holidays.
SUMMER SCHOOL OF PROGRAMMING
Summer school of programming is organized for students and other participants, who want new knowledge. Summer School of Programming thus helps beginners to understand the basics, learn languages and generally operate websites. With the acquired knowledge the participants will be able to upgrade their knowledge and make it easier to specialize in a certain field of programming.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN SCHOOLS IN FACULTY
Through cooperation with various school institutions we carry out numerous events, meetings, programs that offer young people entrepreneurial and other contemporary knowledge that they can not get in the education system itself. We want to encourage young people to become more active during the course of their studies in order to get involved in the entrepreneurial environment, raising the level of knowledge and competences. Since there is too little entrepreneurial initiative in the region, events and presentations also work towards promoting entrepreneurship among young people and other generations. In this way, young people are more employable and some will use their knowledge to open their own businesses and thereby generate new jobs.
By implementing entrepreneurship education we encourage the development of entrepreneurship in the municipalities of Dolenjska and Bela Krajina.
