ABOUT CRDI

The Center for Development, Research and Innovation (CRRI) officially started its operations on 1st January 2017 at the premises of the Incubator Podbreznik. Established with the aim of connecting institutions of knowledge, economy, secondary education institutions and institutions that are responsible for the development of the region.

For the first three years of CRRI, we have set a single priority: industrial robotics, and all other activities follow this. In this decision, we followed the smart specialization strategy (S4), which also refers to robotics of production outside the automotive industry as one of the key objectives of the field in the future.

We also took into account the guidelines of the European Commission, which put robotics high on the priority list. In the initial phase, CRRI’s mission will be primarily to contribute to the development of the region of South-East Slovenia by promoting the introduction of industrial robots into companies.
