We are pleased to announce that the MISTERION project has been approved within the second deadline of the Call for Proposals of the Interreg V-A Cooperation Program Slovenia.
Within the framework of the project, a cross-border tourist product based on the unique natural and cultural heritage of the area connected with the secrets of karst waters will be developed in the municipalities of Semič, Metlika and Kamanje. The project will present the latest findings on the role of man through evolution (archaeological excavations) and underground life, the secrets of karst waters by revealing the only living underground mussel in the world of Kuščar’s Congerie and also a mysterious dragonfish will be presented.
The project idea was developed at the Novo mesto Development Center, as well as the application form for the public tender.
